Site Facilities

Beyond the mine face — Smart Micky Limited invests in security, healthcare, and staff housing so every worker can operate safely and with dignity at Aketekyieso.

Infrastructure for People

Responsible small-scale mining depends on more than extraction methods. At Smart Micky Limited, we maintain facilities that keep the concession secure, workers healthy, and living conditions practical for a 130-strong direct workforce.

Site Security

Elevated posts and trained personnel protect people, equipment, and ore across the concession.

Worker Clinic

An on-site first-aid station with trained attendants, oxygen, and basic medical supplies.

Staff Shelters

On-site accommodation and support units so the workforce can rest close to operations.

Security Post & Site Protection

The concession is monitored from elevated security posts with clear sightlines over the materials yard, camp buildings, and access routes. Trained security personnel maintain a visible presence to protect workers, equipment, and community assets on site.

Perimeter fencing, controlled gates, and watch posts form part of our day-to-day safety culture — reducing unauthorized access and supporting peaceful operations alongside neighbouring communities.

On-Site Clinic

Workers have access to an on-site clinic equipped for first aid and immediate care — including a treatment bed, oxygen supply, blood-pressure monitoring, and essential medical consumables.

Clinic attendants support everyday occupational health needs and help escalate serious cases quickly. Keeping care close to the mine face means injuries and illnesses can be addressed without delaying response time for the people who keep operations running.

Staff Shelters

On-site shelters and housing blocks give our workforce practical rest close to the concession. Rooms are arranged along shared walkways, with space for personal kit and ready access to work areas — supporting shift continuity for underground and surface crews.
